Job Summary:
The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for accurate transcription, preservation and maintenance of medical dictation and documentation. This position works closely with Pathologists other members of the team on a daily basis. Attention to detail is critical for this position as it prepares reports, retrieves results and information, enters data and reports into the systems, and completes other tasks to ensure efficient and effective processing of daily responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.
Type 60 wpm
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Data entry experience/pathology transcription (3-5 years)
Preferred
Graduation from a formal medical transcription course to include coursework in typing and business English
Intermediate level computer proficiency
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hrs/wk) 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Can work remotely
