Vista Pathology Laboratories is located in beautiful Southern Oregon. There are four seasons with an incredible amount of year round outdoor activities to enjoy. Vista Pathology is dedicated to hiring the best team in order to serve our clients and their patients.
Our laboratory serves as a resource for each team member, and works to support and promote collaboration. Our cytology team is key in evaluating patient samples and determining next steps in treatment and care.
The Cytology Supervisor is responsible for all the regulatory preparation, documentation, and maintaining CAP readiness at all times. The Cytology Supervisor is also responsible for writing and updating all Cytology Standard Operating Procedures. The Supervisor also actively works with the Information Systems liason in order to further develop our Laboratory Information System platform in the cytology department. The Supervisor is required to monitor quality performance for the department. As the face of the department, the Supervisor will collaborate and engage with both internal and external clients.The Supervisor may need to adjust hours based on department needs.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor degree in Biological Science from an accredited college or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years of full-time experience as a working cytotechnologist within the preceding 10 years with gynecologic and non-gynecologic cell samples
- Knowledge of related theory, principles, practices, applicable instrumentation, analytical methods, quality control, statistical analysis, current government regulations and leadership.
Preferred:
- ASCP certification
- Three years of Cytology Supervisory experience
